Higher Love was the lead single from Steve Winwood's 4th studio album, Back In The High Life, and featured the vocal talents of Chaka Khan who also appeared in the promotional video for the song. The synthesizer horns and synth horn arrangement were provided by David Frank from The System, and the rhythm guitar was provided by Nile Rodgers.
The song was a huge success topping the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for 1 week and the US Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart for 4 weeks. The song also garnered 2 Grammy Awards for Beat Male Pop Vocal Performance and Record of The Year.
