Jingo was written by Michael Babatunde Olatunji and first appeared as Jin-Go-Lo-Ba on Drums of Passion, an album first released in 1959. The track has been covered by many musicians over the years, Santana being one of them. The track has also been covered by Cándido de Guerra Camero, aka, Candido, a Cuban-born percussionist, who in 1979 released Jingo on Salsoul Records.

Jingo (La Casa De Juego Mix) appears on Side A of Jellybean Rocks The House!, a compilation album first released in 1988.
