Tomb of Memories (12" Mix) (1985) (5'45) - Paul Young.
Written by Paul Young and Ian Kewley.
Produced by Laurie Latham for LOL Productions Ltd.
Backing Vocals: Chris Difford and Glen Tilbrook, aka, Squeeze.
(P) 1985 CBS Records Ltd.

Tomb of Memories appears on the 1985 album The Secret of Association. The 12" Mix first appeared on the Deluxe 2 CD Edition of The Secret of Association released in 2007.

"This (Tomb of Memories) was left over from the Q-Tips - I wrote it with Ian (Kewley). We got the Squeeze boys in [for backing vocals] because we did a lot of our recording down in South London in The Workhouse Studios, which was down the Old Kent Road, only a stone's throw from Deptford [where Squeeze were formed]. That line, 'The hurt don't stop' - I could just hear the two of them [Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook] doing it. When I was in the Q-Tips and starting to get a name for myself, Squeeze asked me to do backing vocals on Black Coffee In Bed, with Elvis Costello, so we were kind of returning the favour, really." - Quote by Paul Young, May 2013, from the liner notes for the 2-CD collection, Remixes And Rarities, Cherry Pop Records, Cat. No. CRPOPD128, released in 2013.
