It's Alright is a cover version of It's All Right, a song by Sterling Void & Paris Brightledge first released in 1987 on D.J. International Records - The song was reissued in 1989 after the release of Introspective, an album by Pet Shop Boys that contained a version of It's All Right.

"Trevor Horn was working with a new group and he told us he needed a hit song for them. We played him this song [It's Alright] by Sterling Void from a new Acid Trax compilation LP and he loved it. While working on "Left To My Own Devices", we decided that we would record "It's Alright" for our Introspective LP. In 1989 we recorded it again twice, adding new lyrics, until we had a pop version we were happy with" - Quote from the front CD insert of the 1991 compilation, Discography.
